Our History

In 2006 Goleudy (meaning lighthouse in Welsh) began with just six local families with the heart of God to establish a new church here in Criccieth.

Goleudy Weekend
After much contemplation and prayer Goleudy held it's first ever Sunday morning celebration at a local hotel. Later a permanant meeting place came in the form of the old sorting office behind Criccieth's post office which has a wonderful ambience and homely feel and is still used for the majority of our worship today.

In 2012 as a growing church it was felt that we needed a place where we could meet up outside of our Sunday and Friday worship time. From this idea our cafe, No.46 was born right in the heart of Criccieth High Street. The cafe has been very successful combining a welcoming environment with great cakes! Visitors often comment that the place 'just feels special'.

Ten years on from our first meeting our little community is growing in number, but our hunger for God's spirit and His awesome power has never changed. God is leading us and shaping our growth whilst we endeavor to keep Jesus at heart of everything we do.
